AFRICA CRICKET ASSOCIATION UNVEILS A NEW CHAPTER FOLLOWING the 26th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Africa Cricket Association (ACA) has entered a new chapter following its 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Harare Zimbabwe on Saturday, 02nd November 2024.

This year being an election year for the Association saw a change in the election of board members on an interim basis. The change will surely bring about new promise and progress for the Association and its stakeholders.

Tavengwa Mukuhlani the President of Zimbabwe Cricket, previously held the position of interim Vice-Chairman, was elected as interim Chairman.

Below is a summary of the Interim Board of ACA: -

  •  Chairman – Tavengwa Mukuhlani
  •  Vice-Chairman – Rihan Richards
  •  Director of Finance – Uyi Akpata
  •  Director of Tournaments – Michael Nuwagaba
  •  Director of Development – Stephen Musaale 

CHAIRMAN ADDRESS

I am honored to be elected as the interim chairman by the General Council of ACA, to lead this organization representing its membership in Africa, under the Africa Cricket Association. I, together with my colleagues, will ensure to deliver the following cricket events to the best of our availability for the benefit of the membership.

  •  Grass roots cricket development
  •  School cricket
  •  Disable cricket
  •  Cricket coaching courses
  •  Cricket administration (cap) courses
  •  Youth cricket tournaments
  •  Woman cricket tournaments
  •  Senior men’s cricket tournaments

We would like to ensure that our members are exposed to events that will lift their cricket standard of play and to compete at global level. With the expertise and experience of the team within our midst we can together with our members, take the ACA into greater heights going into the future “working together as a team is an achievement and bringing everyone together is a success”
